I kindly request 48 hours notice for any cancellation of appointments, which allows time for me to be able to fill the timeslot. I reserve the right to charge for notice less than this given, and for appointments that are not attended, with no notice given at all.

Due to a large increase in last minute cancellations and appointments missed, I am now having to fully enforce my cancellation policy to cover the time I cannot make back, and to prevent me losing money going forward. This is nothing personal, and I hope you can appreciate the extent this has got to for me to have to enforce this.

Cancellation and No Show Appointment Policy

Update effective from January 2020

  • Velvet Beauty Studio operates a 48 hour cancellation policy. This allows me sufficient time to try and fill the appointment. As I work alone, I do not have much free time outside of appointments to try and fill the time at shorter notice.
  • Appointments cancelled within the 48 hour notice period will be charged 50% of the service amount.
  • No Show appointments and cancellations on the day of the appointment will be charged 100% of the service amount. This time has no chance of being offered to another client and as such, is completely lost. This includes bookings of several treatments that are shortened on the day.
  • Cancellations on the day of appointment due to illness will be charged 50% of the service amount for appointments over 1 hour (inclusive). If this becomes a repetitive behaviour over a 6 month period, this will increase to a 100% charge.
  • Charges will need to be paid in full prior to further appointment bookings, unless otherwise agreed at my discretion.
  • If I continue to receive no shows and late cancellations to this extent I will have to enforce a non-refundable booking fee system for all appointments.

Appointments reduced on arrival at the salon will be treated in the same manner as a cancellation on the day of treatment, as this time will no longer be available to offer to another client.

Deposits or booking fees may be asked for at the time of appointment booking with no advanced warning. These are non-refundable.

Treatment times include consultation, treatment and client preparation. Late arrival to appointments will impact on this and treatment time will not be extended.

If you are on any medication or under doctor supervision, please make me aware of this at the time of your booking.

Courses of treatments require full payment upon their start.

Children under the age of 12 are not allowed in the salon for insurance purposes.

All information collected from you is held confidentially and securely. None of your information is passed to any third parties.
